Pasa meaning gambling with chess. This saree is special. Unlike other blends made by weavers, this saree has many motifs. Matsya(fish), Harina(Deer), Singhaduara(Gateway to heaven),Singha(lion), temples(home to dieties), manusya(the man) & Jai phula(bloomed flower).
Our sarees always have a story to take along when worn. This saree belongs to two weavers one from Baragarh(pasapalli) and the other from Sambalpur(Ikkat).
It is believed every time when pasapalli meets Ikkat the outcome is not usual. It is unique and one of kind.
